12 Day Turkey Tour

During 12 day Turkey tour you can visit the main touristic spots in Turkey: Istanbul, Cappadocia, ancient cities in the Aegean, but also Antalya as important city of the Mediterranean region, and the well known spiritual center – Mevlana mausoleum in Konya.

12 Days Turkey Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival To Istanbul:

  • You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your Hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Istanbul

Day 2: Istanbul Old City Tour

  • Your guide will meet you in hotel lobby and take you to Istanbul Old city tour.
  • Byzantine Hippodrome (used for public entertainments organised by emperors)
  • Sultanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque, famous for its tiles)
  • Topkapi Palace (imperial residence of ottoman sultans)
  • Hagia Sophia (Church of Holy Wisdom, museum that used the be the biggest Orthodox church in the World)
  •  Grand Bazaar (the oldest and the largest covered market in the world)
  • Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 3: Istanbul City Tour

  • You will have a two hour Bosphorus boat trip (during this tour you will see the bridges of Istanbul, Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi Palaces, Anadolu and Rumeli fortresses and beautiful houses around the strait)
  • Afterwards visit Spice Market (17 century structure that housed the majority of the city’s spice trade)
  • Suleymaniye Mosque (majestic structure built by famed architect Sinan)
  • Archeological Museum.
  • Overnight stay in Istanbul

Day 4: Gallipoli and Troy

  • Departure from Istanbul and approximately 5 hours driving to Canakkale.
  • Visit Gelibolu, the battlefield from the 1st World War (Optional)
  • The ancient city of Troy, made famous in Homer’s epic poem.
  • Overnight stay in Canakkale.

Day 5: Pergamon and Arrive to Kusadasi

  • Departure from Canakkale and 3 hours driving to Bergama.
  • Visit the Acropolis of Pergamon famous for the 2nd biggest library in ancient world.
  • After the tour 3 hour transfer you will arrive to Kusadasi.
  • Overnight stay.

Day 6: Tour of Ephesus and Surrounding

  • Ephesus tour (the biggest collections of Roman ruins in the Eastern Mediterranean)
  • House of Virgin Mary (it is believed that the Mother of Jesus spent her final years in that house close to Ephesus)
  • Temple of Artemis Tour (one of the seven wonders of the ancient World)
  • Overnight stay in Kusadasi

Day 7: Aphrodisias, Pamukkale and Hierapolis

  • Departure from Kusadasi and 2 and half hour driving to Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite.
  • After you visit this well preserved ancient city, you will drive 1 more hour to Pamukkale.
  • During Pamukkale and Hierapolis sightseeing, you will have chance to enjoy the wonder of nature that is unique in the world, the ruins of the Roman spa city and to swim in the ancient pool.
  • Overnight stay in Pamukkale

Day 8: Antalya

  • Departure from Pamukkale and 4 hour drive to Antalya.
  • In Antalya you will have a city tour to see the Hadrian`s  gate, the ancient port and Old City).
  • Overnight stay in Antalya

Day 9: Aspendos and Konya

  • Departure from Antalya and 5 hour drive to Konya.
  • On the way, you will visit one of the best preserved Roman theaters, Aspendos.
  • In Konya you will visit Mevlana Mausoleum, one of the most important spiritual centers in Islamic world.
  • Overnight stay in Konya

Day 10: Ihlara Valley and Cappadocia

  • 3 hour drive to Cappadoccia.
  • On the way you will visit Ihlara Valley, where you will spend two hours walking in the canyon, to discover the churches carved into the rocks and enjoy the nature.
  • Overnight stay in Cappadoccia.

Day 11: Cappadocia Tour

  • Optional hot-air balloon flight early in the morning.
  • Imaginary Valley (also known as Dervent valley)
  • Monks valley
  • Zelve (amazing cave town which housed one of the largest communities in the region)
  • Goreme open-air museum (ruins of churches carved into soft volcanic rock)
  • Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 12: Cappadocia Tour and Fly to Istanbul

  • Kaymakli underground City (the most interesting examples among 36 underground cities)
  • Uchisar Castle (the highest point in the region with amazing landscape view)
  • Pigeon Valley and Love Valley.
  • After the tour you will have private transfer to Kayseri airport for your flight to Istanbul.

FAQ About Our Turkey Tours

Most of our Turkey tours are private. We do not have definite departure dates for any of our tours, as we usually customize tours depending on your requests in the inquiries. Of course, if you have a group – we can always arrange your tour in Turkey.

Depending on your itinerary, available time and distances between sights it can be ground transportations only, or combination of ground transportation and domestic flights.

Depending on the size of your group, we can use Mercedes Vito or Mercedes Sprinter. All our vehicles are new (model 2016 or newer), comfortable and air-conditioned. You can see our vehicles

It depends on your itinerary… If you plan to fly between areas, in each one you will have a local guide; in that way you can get the best experience in each area and also avoid some extra costs (hotel accommodation and domestic flights for guide). If you plan to have a ground transportation, you will have a same guide during entire trip (in some small places it is not possible to find a local guide) and that is something that some of our guests prefer…

Prices depend on the size of your group and services that are included. For example, some guests prefer to arrange accommodation on their own. The itineraries listed on our site are there just to give you idea about how much you can see during your trip. Depending on your specific ideas and thoughts, we customise your trip and send you price offer…

Once we receive an inquiry, we can send you itinerary option with price in 24 hours, as latest. Afterwards, depending on your ideas and suggestions we can change some details until we have the options that you want to book.

You can pay via bank transfer, credit card or cash. We also accept PayPal / Payoneer deposit payments. You should pay 20% deposit when you decide to book; balance can be paid during your stay in Turkey.

Once you decide to book a tour with us, you should pay 20% deposit and it is refundable for 30 days from the date it is received. If you decide to cancel the trip afterwards, we will not be able to refund your deposit.

Please visit www.evisa.gov.tr to get all information and obtain electronic visa if necessary.

During your tour you will eat like a local. Local beer and wine are optional and at your own expense. We can arrange vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals if requested.

Normally it is 15 kg checked laggage and 8 kg in cabin, but for our guests we arrange eco flexible tickets so your baggage allowance would be 20 kg + 8 kg in cabin.

You are strongly advised to buy travel insurance before you arrive to Turkey. Our vehiches have full traffic insurance, but we can’t arrange your travel insurance. You can choose one of many travel insurance policies in your country…
