Quality tour. Found this tour after searching reviews and the like on TA. Glad we did. We had a private tour. Just us. Amazing. We saw large groups with tour guides yelling, trying to herd the sheep that were tourists, running around finding wandering ones whilst also trying to speak loudly enough so all could hear…but not us 🙂 As far as we could work out through various enquiries and quotes, our tour was priced similar if not better than large group tours, yet we had personalised service. Just amazing. From the start, Ertunga Ecir as the organiser was fantastic. He made quick contact, sent through electronic personalised itineraries and made several adjustments at our request. He even asked what quality of hotel accommodation we would like and adjusted the price accordingly. Impressive. He was quick to respond to our comms and has a high proficiency in English. Once finished, he sent through the final itinerary and an electronic invoice for a deposit (as opposed to other tours which asked for full payment before even confirmation). Our guide, Volkan, made contact the day prior, introduced himself and noted key information to prepare us for our tour. We were picked up from our hotel in Izmir by Volkan and driver in an air conditioned Mercedes van and it was just our family with Volkan and our lovely driver. Bags in the back, cool water in the van cooler and off. Visited the areas of the 7 churches and were not disappointed. Each place was awe inspiring and each place somehow even better. The trip just got better and better. Our last day ended up in the Kusadasi area and they kindly delivered us back to Izmir. Won’t spoil the tour suffice to say it is impressive and on the MUST DO list. Key points: Good walking shoes/sandals essential Hydrate Camera/phone batteries fully charged each night Ensure sufficient memory space in devices Bathing suits for Heiropolis. Absorb and enjoy the moment as well – stop and take it all in as opposed to simply taking photos all the time Volkan was kind, proficient and humorous. He was accommodating which was extremely appreciated as we had our 6 year old son with us. His persona and character, which is as important as his knowledge, was first rate. We recommend him highly. Our driver was safe, punctual and hospitable. The quality of the hotels we stayed at were exceptional. The lunch stops were incredible. The lamb on the spit in particular. Such was the quality and integrity of the tour, Ertunga would message us during the tour, just checking in on us and then, only sent us the invoice for the remaining balance of the tour at the end. That says something right there. Personalised. Safe. Comfortable. Well paced. Informative. Awe-inspiring. Quality. Do it.
