We had a small group tour (3 couples from Atlanta, GA between 4/7 and 4/17). It was such a fantastic trip that I felt compelled to write this review. First we needed to find a good private tour operator. In October of 2022, I reviewed three different private tour operators and decided that Ertunga was my favorite. He responded to my questions professionally and promptly. We started planning our trip about 6 months in advance. After several dozen emails, we got everything set. To be frank, although the itinerary was worked out, we were still nervous up until right before the trip. But when we reached our first destination, we were completely convinced that we were in good hands. Our first stop was Cappadocia. The hotel, Kayakapi Premium Cases, was fabulous. We enjoyed the areas’ breathtaking scenery thoroughly. Our only regret was that we couldn’t take the renowned hot air balloon trip due to weather. We then flew to the Izmir region for a 4 days fun-filled trip. Turkish food and hospitality, the incredible history dating from early Greeks, and our private driver and tour guide made our trip a huge blast. If you get Özgür (he asked us to just call him Oscar) to be your tour guide, you have kind of won the lottery. He is so knowledgeable and friendly and FUN. What was more outstanding was that, knowing our disappointment of not being able to get the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia, Oscar and Erturnga worked to get us signed up in Pamukklate. Oscar and our driver picked us up at 2am in order to get to the site and they did it willingly without any extra charge. We were able to get in the air and saw some incredible views. Our guides went the extra mile for us the entire trip. After the great experience, we flew to Istanbul for a 3 night stay. The city was gorgeous and so full of history at every corner. We were taken on a grand tour through the past centuries, learning about the changing landscape of a pivotal place in human history. We were taken to the highest seats of power and through underground reservoirs, and we fell in love with the city, the country, and the culture. What a wonderful trip, one that we will remember vividly for years to come. Thank you Ertunga for everything you have done for us
