During this tour we visit the ancient city of Pergamon - the place where parchment was invented, picturesquely located on a steep hill slope.

We also visit the city hospital - Asklepion, located at the base of the acropolis, one of the most mysterious healing centers of the antiquity.

Pergamon Itinerary And Further Details

After we pick you up from Kusadasi/Selcuk, we will drive about 2 hours to the north to see this site.

When we arrive to Bergama, we will first visit Asklepion, one of the first Hospitals in the world. We will spend about an hour in Asklepion, and afterwards can make a short break for lunch.

After lunch we will proceed to Pergamon where we usually spend about two hours. You will have chance to see the Temple of Hadrian, one of the steepest Hellenistic theaters, Zeus altar and the 2nd biggest library of ancient time. Pergamon is also important Biblical site in Turkey as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation.

After the sightseeing we will drive back to your hotel in Kusadasi/Selcuk.

Pergamon is also very famous for its hand made carpets, so if you want to see the local hand art we can visit one of the workshops just outside the town.

We can also arrange this tour for the guests who stay in Izmir.
