The advantage of this tour is you decide what sites to see and in what order. The guide and driver are at your disposal for the day, you pay your admission and parking fees in addition to the tour cost. Our guide, Evren, and the driver met us at the cruise port in Kusadasi at 7:30 am. Transportation for our group of four was in a large Mercedes van that could seat 8 or more. The timing was ideal, as we were the first through the gates at Ephesus and managed to keep ahead of the crowds. Evren was terrific, lively and engaging with great information. Our Ephesus tour include the Terrace houses, which are not to be missed, followed byMeryemana and the Ephesus museum. Evren then took us too a delightful outdoor cafe in a nearby small town, and finished up with a visit to one of the turkish rug spots. This was not compulsory, as it is on many tours, and was informative. We did not purchase anything. We were back to the cruise port at 3:30 pm. Evren kept us informed and entertained throughout, and we greatly appreciated the ability to choose the sites to visit. I should add that we recommended this tour site to friends on the same cruise, they had a different guide but also raved about the overall experience. The cost for a day of touring with an excellent guide and driver was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
