Ertunga Ecir’s Reviews
visit Turkey, and feel so blessed that a friend of a friend gave me Ertunga’s name. I am not a large-group-tour-bus person, so was thrilled to find someone who could be my private guide for an affordable price. Ertunga was great to work with from the beginning. He responded to my emails within 24 hours, came up with a wonderful itinerary which I was able to tweak, was flexible with my dates, and willing to answer any and all questions. The big question everyone wants to know: is Turkey safe? For the 2 and 1/2 weeks that I was there, I never felt in the slightest danger. (I feel in some ways our country is much more dangerous as 96 Americans die from gun violence every day. And we think Turkey may be unsafe?) The people were warm, friendly, hospitable, and always willing to help. We visited biblical ruins, Roman ruins, Greek ruins, Hittite ruins, Lycian ruins, Byzantine, and Ottman buildings, bascillicas, and mosques. We viewed a sunken city on the Mediterranean through the glass bottom of a boat. We saw whirling dervishes. I had a Turkish bath. I’ve always wanted to take a hot air balloon ride – Ertunga arranged one for me in Cappadocia over volcanic “fairy chimneys”. Istanbul lives up to it’s fabulous reputation. We traveled 2,500 miles together, which allowed me to ask all kinds of questions about his amazing country — about it’s history, culture, and people. Turkish guides are extremely well qualified, and Ertunga was able to answer everything. It was the trip of a lifetime, and I am so grateful that I found him and his travel company.
We had a wonderful time journeying back in time. Thanks to the very descriptive explanation by Erti. Every part of the tour was worth the visit & listening to. Through the tour we were able to appreciate the influence of Greek philosophy in our world today.
The backpacks were ready for another globetrotting and this time it was a family trip across some diverse regions of Turkey. Eight days trip and we were on the lookout for someone to provide us a customized plan and private arrangements on what we sought out to explore in Turkey. A few searches and we came across ‘Turkey Private Tours’ helmed by Ertunga Ecir and we became cognizant of how attentive Erty could be in understanding and providing suggestions from the initial repartees itself. He was very prompt in the responses and always put our interests on priority in finalizing the tour itinerary which covered private Airport transfers, Domestic flight tickets, Private Daily tours and Turkish cuisine experience across Kusadasi, Ephsus, Pamukkale, Capapdocia & Istanbul. The synergy buoyed further when we met Erty in person at Kusadasi and were bowled over by his professionalism, commitment and flexibility. The jovial guy he is and we were friends of long time apace. With his vast knowledge and experience he was very keen to elucidate the history and culture of places where we were to. It indeed enlightened us to understand more about the country that had seen the ‘might and fall’ of many a empires over centuries in terms of history. With its geographical and cultural diversity, Turkey is a must to see place and Erti had made arrangements such a way that we were also captivated with the beauty of nature, hospitality of people and the varied cuisine delights. Albeit we bid adieu to Erty personally at Pamukkale, he had made arrangements in other areas too with his team which were all professional and commendable thus leaving us to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed trip throughout. Big thanks from us to Erty for making this trip a worthwhile experience which will be in our minds forever.
Ertunga is a fabulous guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. Not only did he organize a 10-day tour that met our specific interests, but his flexibility was appreciated when a late itinerary change was necessary. Ertunga is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, passionate about his country and its history, and his English is excellent – we would not hesitate to recommend him. We were also impressed wth the driver and the vehicle provided. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we had a lot of fun too!
