Amazing Istanbul

We used Turkey Private tours to do a day tour of Istanbul. We had an excellent guide, Oz, who was so knowledgeable. With only three in our group, we were able to get around the crowds. We were in Mini van with air con. & saw all the top sights, and were given options during the day, so we could change itinerary to suit what we wanted to see, and stay as long as we wanted. It was excellent

Amazing one-day tour from Izmir to Ephesus

We chose Ertunga Private Tour based on the favorable reviews posted on this website. It was a good choice indeed.Ertunga responded to emails promptly with clear explanation. As agreed in emails, our tour guide, Ozgur, picked us up at hotel in Izmir at 10 o’clock. We went to Ephesus directly and then had lunch in Sirince. After lunch, we visited St. John Basilica and from that site, overlooked the remaining column of the Temple of Artemis and Isa Bey Mosque. Upon our request, Ozgur took us to a ceramic studio, where we observed pottery making process and bought a souvenir. We said goodbye to Ozgur then and the driver took us back to the hotel in Izmir.

Ozgur is knowledgeable and thoughtful. We enjoyed our talks about history, current affairs, family and life. He has the good sense to know what his client would care and on such points, he would check with us first before taking action.

Best way to see Turkey/Ephesus in a day

They picked us up promptly at 8am, we went straight to Ephesus, which was nice since it was not that crowded or hot yet. The guide was very knowledgable and helpful. We then went to Sirince and he took us to an authentic Turkish lunch. They were great and I would use them again.Visited June 2015

Wonderful customized tour of Kusadasi!

We had a great tour with Oscar of Kusadasi! They were outside of the port waiting for us with a very clean and comfortable van. Our group of 10 was quite rambunctious and our guide handled us with ease. He made the tour interesting with great historical facts and stories while guiding us around the House of Virgin Mary and the sites at Ancient Ephesus. He went at a pace that allowed us to take many pictures (you know how it is with a group, when *everyone* wants a photo with *their* camera) while getting us through the crowds and out of the heat but making sure everyone could hear his stories. He even paid for some parking and entrance fees when we realized no one had exchanged their euros for liras and allowed us to pay him back in euros. In the beginning when I asked for a strange request, that I wanted to experience a traditional Turkish breakfast, they said “no problem!” And we got to feast on quite a spread before our touring! For lunch after seeing the sights we got a real treat: a home-cooked lunch at one of his friend’s beautiful homes in the valley. Our group delighted in the hand-rolled dolmas, chicken and potato stew, and so much more… even wine that was made from the small vineyard in the front yard! Afterwards he offered us time to walk around Sincere and to take us to a few shopping places but our group was quite beat from the heat and other long excursion days prior, so they dropped us off back at our cruise ship as requested. I appreciate them offering us many options based on our group’s energy as it fluctuated through the day. Wonderful day excursion, thank you!

Turkey Private Tours

We were very pleased with our guides, Ugur in Istanbul and Ozgur (Oscar) in Ephesus. We were on Norwegian’s Mediterranean cruise and I did a lot of research before we left. I found Ertunga http://ertungaecir.com and asked many questions before booking our excursion. We had our 7 and 9 year old daughters as well as our parents. Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly and offered great experiences for our wide age ranges. We were so impressed with Ephesus. It was our favorite city and using a guide and private driver allowed us to absorb more of what we were seeing. I highly recommend these guys!

Turkey Private Tours – excellent company!

We were in Turkey at the beginning of May, on a cruise starting from Istanbul. As it was our second time in the city, but we had 2 days before the cruise, we decided to arrange a tour, and contacted Ertunga (http://ertungaecir.com/) asking him to arrange something out of Sultanahmet. He was very prompt to answer all our questions, so we decided to book both Istanbul sightseeing and Ephesus tour. Both guides, Ugur (in Istanbul) and Ozgur (in Ephesus), were very good! Ugur is a real local guide, great for people who like to see some non-touristy places, and Ozgur apart from being very informatiove, is great fun! Not to forget – there was no any kind of shopping pressure, which I appreaciate so much.

Ephesus tour

We were referred to Ertunga by some friends. So we contacted him before our cruise. He was already booked for the day we were going to be there, but he had his coworker, Ozgur, give us the tour and he was very good! We actually met Ertunga at the ruins. The information Ozgur gave us was excellent. He also took us up in the mountains to a village and we had an authentic lunch with a village woman which was excellent also. All and all it was a great day and we would highly recommend Ertungas tour group. (Especially over the ship tours)

Tour with Ertunga

I contacted Ertunga for a private tour during my visit to Ephesus and he was busy that day so he arranged a tour with his best friend Ozgur. Ozgur met us at the pier when we arrived on November 7th, 2013 on Celebrity Equinox. He took us to the most wonderful van that had a driver and to our surprise Ozgur was only out tour guide. The van would hold at least 10 people and was in immaculate condition. He asked where we would like to go and we headed out to Ephesus. He told us about the sights on the way there and once we arrived we did a little shopping at the stands before we entered. We found out he used to work at Ephesus and was an expert on the history. It was absolutely incredible and as he said we had several OMG moments. This took approx 3 hours to tour through. We shopped again on our way out and then headed for a wonderful local lunch and a little resting. We went to a rug factory which we were given the option to go to or not but we were interested so we went. It was quite interesting how all of this way done. There was no pressure to purchase so we looked around and left. We were tired from the Ephesus tour so headed back to the ship. It was a wonderful day and would not hesitate to refer Ozgur or Ertunga for future tours. I am a US travel agent and will send all of my clients their way in the future.

Kusadasi Excursion – Ephesus

10 July 2013 RC Navigator of the Sea’s. The excursion was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Ertunga/Ozgur picked us up on the dock. We walked to their Tour Van and my son thought I was a hero. The Tour Van for 8 of us was more like a limo then a van. Ozgur had a microphone and was able to clearly communicate to all of whilst we stared out the window in Awe. He took us to Ephesus and gave us the best tour ever. We saw hundreds of people being led by other guides walking quickly by the Gates of Hercules. They had no idea what they missed. Ozgur took us out for a very typical lunch in Turkey, we loved the food and the tour of the Turkish rugs was a bonus. This team is a Class A outfit. I highly recommend their services. They won’t let you down. This was probably our best excursion on the trip and the money we spent was well worth it. I consider Ozgur a friend and appreciated his time and experience. Keep up the great work guys!!
