Excellent Safe Tour

Grandparents with two grandsons 16 and 12 Ertunga picked us up at port and we were in advance of the boat tours so we even had Mary’s House all to ourselves for a few minutes. ( special) Ertunga did an excellent job of talking about history with the boys. We saw a lot and had just us 4 with a guide. At the end of a safe day Ertunga returned us to the ship. Great 5 star tour.

Amazing Day for our family

Eric picked us up on time at the pier with a driver in a nice new mini bus. We had a incredible day. Eric is an official guide not just a driver and came with us into the sites and the museums to explain everything. We had 3 kids with us and he made it an amazing day.

He also does personal tours into the heart of the country. I would feel comfortable trusting him to keep us safe and provide an incredible experience.

Very informative and educational

We were 2 adults with 2 young children that were picked up from the Kusadasi port for a private excursion to Ephesus. The guide, Emir Evren, was very knowledgable and gave us an excellent tour of Ephesus. We also visited the site where Virigin Mary spent her last days. We had asked Ertunga Ecir, the owner to arrange for a traditional lunch with a Turkish family and he sure took care of our request. We visited the quaint village of Sirince, where we ate a delicious, home cooked lunch prepared by Ertunga’s friend, Emire. Emire and her husband Mehmet were extremely gracious and we got to chat with them about Turkish culture and customs during our lunch. As per our request, we were also taken to a carpet weaving factory. This tour was a amazing cultural immersion for all of us.

Personalized tour to Ephesus with Ertunga

I booked this excursion online before we went on the Royal Caribbean cruise. It was the best decision we made to book this excursion privately instead of going through the cruise ship excursion. It was easy to communicate with his staff via email and facebook. We were greeted exactly at the time he said we’ll meet with a huge sign with my name on it, right outside the port. He was considerate of our requirements (traveling with babies et. all). Took us to an amazing place for lunch. Not expensive either. With extra time left after touring Ephesus, he took us to a local farmers market. That was an incredible experience for us to get a taste of the local life in Kusadasi.
Ertunga grew up in Kusadasi and knows everything you want to know about the place. I would highly recommend to book him and his amazing AC and carpeted van for your excursion to Ephesus.

Full Day Private Turkey Tour by Ertunga Ecir

This tour was recommended to me via a coworker and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Me and my other 2 travel friends enjoyed our tour in Turkey very much. We got to see a lot more sites than anyone taking a paid excursion off of the cruise ship. In addition, not only did we see beautiful sites, we also got a full history lesson! The tour is flexible and the guides know where to take you and when. Some of the locations are swamped with tourist and we were able to move around the crowds at our own pace to miss the crowds. It was nice to also have an experienced guide that could tell you where to take the best photos and also take you to a very nice restaurant for lunch and describe the way locals cook and how. Truly amazing tour and guide. Would highly recommend for anyone that is looking to see a lot of amazing sites on a very short timeline.

Outstanding custom tour with Evren

The advantage of this tour is you decide what sites to see and in what order. The guide and driver are at your disposal for the day, you pay your admission and parking fees in addition to the tour cost. Our guide, Evren, and the driver met us at the cruise port in Kusadasi at 7:30 am. Transportation for our group of four was in a large Mercedes van that could seat 8 or more. The timing was ideal, as we were the first through the gates at Ephesus and managed to keep ahead of the crowds. Evren was terrific, lively and engaging with great information. Our Ephesus tour include the Terrace houses, which are not to be missed, followed byMeryemana and the Ephesus museum. Evren then took us too a delightful outdoor cafe in a nearby small town, and finished up with a visit to one of the turkish rug spots. This was not compulsory, as it is on many tours, and was informative. We did not purchase anything. We were back to the cruise port at 3:30 pm. Evren kept us informed and entertained throughout, and we greatly appreciated the ability to choose the sites to visit. I should add that we recommended this tour site to friends on the same cruise, they had a different guide but also raved about the overall experience. The cost for a day of touring with an excellent guide and driver was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Excellent guide

Met us promptly in a very comfortable van. Gave great historical background before beginning and during the tour. In depth historical knowledge of Ephesus, the preserved houses and surrounding areas. Interesting and best of all fun.

Best Trip Ever!!

Ertunga could not have been better!!! He picked our family of 10 up in A brand-new first class van. We then saw the sights of Ephesus and other areas. He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to go wherever we wanted to go. He took us to a small town where a little Turkish woman cooked us a true Turkish meal. It was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend him to anyone traveling to Turkey.

Wonderful Turkey Trip

My wife and I joined another couple on a 3 week tour of Turkey. Our guide, Ertunga Ecir, spent a lot of time prior to the trip getting to understand our goals and expectations for the trip. The trip exceeded all of our expectations. We spent the 1st three days in Istanbul and then traveled down the western coast before going inland to Konya and Urgup (Cappadocia). We had a private van and the driver (could accommodate another couple or two) and visited 3-5 sites a day, each one with a different focus. We were able to make changes based on our interest. Mustafa, the van owner and driver, helped find the best restaurants where ever we happened to be. Ertunga is very knowledgeable about all of the venues. We were a little nervous before going but felt comfortable and secure the entire trip. Hotels were local, non-chain and were very nice and in great areas for walking in the evening and seeing more of the communities. The cost of the trip was very reasonable and if you are considering a trip to Turkey we strongly recommend you consider a Turkey Private Tour with Ertunga.

Tour Far Exceeded Our High Expectations.

Our experience with a three week tour of Turkey with Ertunga Ecir far exceeded our high expectations. In light of Turkey’s internal situation with terrorism and domestic unrest in 2016, the four of us (two couples) were anxious and unsure about traveling to Turkey. In pre-trip conversations, Ertunga was honest about the situation and did not pressure us into coming to Turkey if we did not feel safe. We went ahead feeling that Ertunga was on top of the situation; he gave us a sense of confidence that he would keep us safe. However, the first few days with Ertunga completely relieved our anxieties and strongly reinforced our confidence in Ertunga, his perceptions, and his judgement. Observing that daily life in Turkey seemed normal and security were adequate but not oppressive also greatly relieved our anxieties.
Our tour of Turkey was an incredible experience. Ertunga’s passion and encyclopedic knowledge of the remarkable sites and ancient ruins kept us in awe much of the time. He and our superb driver Mustafa are obviously a very experienced and savvy team. Ertunga was attentive to details, enthusiastic and positive, perceptive and sensitive to our needs. In addition he was creative and imaginative in adding sites and experiences that were not on our itinerary, all of which greatly enhanced our experience. Ertunga and Mustafa introduced to us a number of small, local Turkish restaurants with wonderful food, but where there was little English spoken and no one not Turkish in sight. These meals were a delight.
Ertunga perceptively realized that we were open to new experiences. One of us asked about a site, Magnesia. Ertunga said it was an obscure site despite its magnificence. We walked down a farm path about a ½ mile dodging cow pies and cows/sheep and rounded a corner and found another jaw dropping scene, a 35,000 seat capacity stadium. It was all that was visibly left of a large 2,500 year old Greek/Roman town. At another site, Labraunda, he asked if we minded if two nomads could ride in the bus down the mountain to catch a ride. So ‘Maw’ and ‘Paw’ Turkish nomad cheerfully rode with us the 8 miles or so back down the mountain. Later in the trip, we met one of Ertunga’s former colleagues from his Turkish Army service. The stories they shared about their service on the wartime Iraqi border were entertaining. These were treats far outside the normal guided tour experience. He always checked to see if these deviations from the itinerary were acceptable to us.
